3 7/8" San Mai mosaic Damascus steel blade, 8 3/4" opened length
This unusual blade has a 52100 carbon steel core, with 2 different Celtic knot pattern mosaic Damascus steels, one on each side. Because the Damascus patterns were forged using different steels, they had to be melded to the core steel at different temperatures, a very difficult process.
