  • 6 15/16" blade of carbon steel, 11 3/8" overall length
  • Nickel silver hilt
  • Stag scales with nickel silver escutcheon
  • Gold embossed frog sheath with nickel silver throat and tip
  • Blade is marked "Wostenholm & Son, Washington Works, Sheffield" and "The Soldiers Companion"
  • Dates to the early to mid-1860's, excellent condition (blade has a light patina of scratches and stain spots, but the etching is very visible and blade appears to be full. Stag scales have shrunk and rear side is missing a corner at the front of the handle. Sheath is complete except for the frog on the collar)
