- This informative book was originally written in 1965, with the author personally examining more than 2000 tomahawks in museums and private collections. Included are photograph plates of more than 300 tomahawks along with a section describing each in detail.
- Also included is an appendix by Milford Chandler about The Blacksmith Shop. Mr. Chandler grew up in the frontier and witnessed first hand blacksmiths making tomahawks for the Indian Trade.
