- Blade has a beautiful hamon and two-tone finish

- Excellent condition (the blade has light scratches from the sheath and the iron fittings show rusting)
- Francis learned traditional Japanese sword making under a smith named Nakajima who traveled to the US and lived in San Francisco for many years.
