  • Rare green Tenite handle with finger grooves
  • Extended tang pommel with thong hole
  • Riveted Model "C" Split Back sheath with Norton 2-tone grey stone and brown button and canteen style snaps
  • Dates to the mid-to late 1950's, excellent condition (blade has scratches and stains from use, handle has light scratches and shows slight shrinkage)
  • Includes a photocopy of a 1965 LIFE Magazine article about the original owner. Jack O'Hare was a Korean War veteran who set up a 21,000 acre training swamp in Florida to simulate Vietnam jungle, with the help of his 13 year old son.  The purpose of the camp was to ready Green Berets for some of the "dirty tricks" they could face from the Vietcong.
