- The name for this knife comes from the series of integral "fins" along the spine and both sides of the blade. There are 20 fins in all, 7 on each side and 6 on the spine
- This knife is featured in JIM WEYER's book "Knives: Points of Interest" pages 116 and 117
- Ground from a single 23 pound block of 440C steel, this knife is an outstanding example of Cronk's fantastic craftsmanship and imagination, and one of the most impressive pieces of artwork he ever created.
